Artist spotlight: Glasshouse Choir, twelve voices and one loop pedal

You may not know the name yet. Give it six months.

The artist started out posting one-minute song sketches online, recorded on a phone in a bedroom with the door closed so the neighbours would not hear.

Where to start

The debut EP keeps that intimacy but adds a real band, a string section on two tracks and a producer who knows when to leave things alone.

We wanted it to sound like the room we made it in, not like a studio pretending to be a room.

Live, the songs grow teeth. The small rooms on the current tour are selling out, and bigger venues are already being booked.
