Some creative partnerships are built to last. Global multimedia artist Qymira and acclaimed Filipino filmmaker Pedring Lopez have joined forces once again, this time for the music video for ‘Labyrinth Of Life’, out now via Qiia Media. The reunion is a warm-up for something even bigger: the pair will soon work together on LOTUS, the international female-led action thriller in which Qymira takes the lead.
That shared history shows in every frame. The video opens at an exclusive, high-stakes poker game, where Qymira, in a striking crimson gown, holds the room with quiet authority. Then reality cracks, and she is thrown into a shifting maze of worlds: dense jungles, ancient Egyptian battlefields, frozen kingdoms on the edge of war and glowing cyberpunk cities. In each world she becomes someone new, a warrior, a leader, a survivor and a dreamer, bringing to life the song’s message that every choice shapes the path we take.

For Qymira, working with Lopez again felt effortless. “Working with Pedring again has been an incredible creative experience,” she says. “We understand each other’s visual language, and together we’ve created something that feels timeless, emotional and larger than life.”
Lopez is just as full of praise for his star. “Qymira has a rare ability to tell stories without saying a word,” he says. “Every frame of Labyrinth Of Life was designed to immerse audiences inside her imagination. That same emotional intensity is what makes her such a compelling lead in LOTUS.”
Qymira describes the song as a reflection of her own creative journey. “Labyrinth Of Life is about the invisible paths that shape who we become,” she explains. “Every scene represents a different possibility, a different version of ourselves. I’ve always wanted my music to feel cinematic, and this video captures that dream perfectly.”

The collaboration now moves from music video to feature film. Written by Pedring Lopez with Rez Lopez, and produced by Hong Kong-based ACT3 and Blackops Studios Asia, LOTUS is a globe-spanning thriller filming across Manila and Brazil. It combines hard-hitting action, noir-inspired visuals and emotional storytelling, with Qymira leading an international cast that includes Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr., Luke Ford, Cristian Lavin and Alberto Cowboy. The film is part of a multi-picture international slate launched at the Cannes Film Market.
It will be Qymira’s second lead role, following her acclaimed debut in Shadow Transit, for which she also composed the score. “As I prepare for LOTUS,” she says, “this feels like the perfect bridge between my musical journey and everything that’s coming next.”
The Brazilian setting of LOTUS also reflects a connection close to Qymira’s heart. She has performed at Salvador Carnival, and recently recorded a Portuguese-language single with Buja Ferreira of the iconic percussion group Timbalada, launched at Casa Ronaldo during this year’s World Cup.

Born in Hong Kong and raised in San Francisco, Qymira has built a career that spans music, fashion, film, conducting and philanthropy. Her debut single ‘Satisfied’ hit No.1 on the UK Music Week Breakers Chart, and she recently toured the UK with Boyzlife and Collabro on The Harmony Tour, playing venues such as London’s Cadogan Hall and Edinburgh’s St Giles’ Cathedral. A classically trained composer, she also leads the Qymira Symphony Orchestra, and supports children in need across the Philippines, Hong Kong and Brazil through her One Gaia Foundation.
With ‘Labyrinth Of Life’ out now and cameras rolling on LOTUS, the partnership between Qymira and Pedring Lopez looks set to be one of the most exciting creative pairings to watch across music and film.
